Cranes.  Manitowoc Cranes.  One of the largest, well know crane manufacturers in the United States.  If you were not aware of this, you should know that there is a group of people that are VERY aware and they congregate on Facebook.  One of the best places to get together with people of a like mind and similar interests is Facebook.  Groups are huge, are very active and can bring you to others that want to hear your excitement for a particular topic.  Our topic?  Cranes.  Real Life Cranes.  Die Cast Model Cranes.

The Manitowoc Crane Enthusiasts group is a live and well on Facebook.  Just one hour on the group page and you will quickly learn what it means to the members to see a real life crane in action at a construction site.  With more than 21,000 members in the group, one could ask how there is so much interest in the Manitowoc Cranes.  Well, if you are reading this, then you are well aware of the interest.  Whether it is a real life MLC650 mounted to a barge, or the crawler cranes that get the job done, cranes are what we know, operate and just like!

The group has members from all over the world and a few times per hour there is a post worth checking out.  I just went through the group page and rarely found any post that did not have interaction of some kind attached to it.  Members know all the specs, the details and even what construction project the crane is working on at the time of the photo.
